Enrollment Procedures

Families interested in enrolling at WMS should submit a completed Application for Admission and the appropriate application fee.  The Application for Admission may be found on the school website or requested from the office.

The Assistant Head of School or designee will contact applicants to discuss their goals for education and schedule a campus tour.  Children interested in the Early Childhood or Elementary Programs may be invited to ‘interview’ with a teacher to determine the child’s level and propensity for succeeding in a Montessori environment.  Elementary children may also shadow a student for part or all of the student day as determined by the teacher and parent.   The tour and interview must occur before a child will be considered for placement in a program.

If space in the appropriate program is not available, the child will be placed on the Waiting List.  The placement of a child on the waiting list will be acknowledged promptly by a telephone call thanking the parents or guardians for their interest and outlining criteria for acceptance into the program(s) in which they are interested.  Procedures for enrollment will also be discussed.

Prospective families are encouraged to visit the school often and are welcome to attend parent education events.
