Waco Montessori School Adult Learning Community
The mission of Waco Montessori School concludes with “developing life-long learners and problem-solvers.” As adults and parents, we have the opportunity to model life-long learning for our children. We invite you to join our Adult Learning Community – filled with speakers, town meetings, book studies, and guided classroom observations. Parents may participate as much or as little as they wish.
If on-line registration is available, it will be listed under the event.
Book Study – Montessori Learning in the 21st Century by Shannon Helfrich
About this book – “A lovely reminder of all the ways a child is nurtured in the Montessori classroom. This valuable resource presents a clear overview of Montessori philosophy and how it aligns with current knowledge about how children learn and develop.
Author M. Shannon Helfrich includes anecdotes from her 40 years as a Montessori teacher and trainer as well as the latest neuroscientific research. Highly recommended for parents new to Montessori and for teachers who want to be re-energized with fresh new insights. ”
